What is the gun locker code in Silver Pines?
The gun locker code is 6671
Use it on the weapon locker inside the Porcelain Bear Gift Shop at the Crimson Bear Motel to take the W-500 Shotgun and a box of 12ga Buckshot. The code is the same in every save. The “shotgun locker” and the “gun locker” are the same thing — this is the only weapon locker with a code at the motel.
Where the gun locker is
Once you are through the motel gate, the Gift Shop is the first building on your left (grab the motel map from the signboard outside). Walk in and look to the right: the locker with the shotgun and ammo is mounted on the wall. You can try it as soon as you arrive — you do not need the Pool Area or any key.
- Enter the Crimson Bear Motel with your guest number (it is different in every save — see how to find the motel code).
- Go left into the Porcelain Bear Gift Shop.
- Interact with the locker on the right wall and enter 6671.
- Take the W-500 Shotgun and the 12ga Buckshot.
How the game gives you the code (no shortcuts)
If you want to earn it the intended way, the clue chain is short:
- In Room 5, read the note by the bed: the guest in Room 3 knows the code to the Gift Shop locker.
- In the Grizzly Suite (upstairs, keycard from the Changing Room), read the Welcome Booklet. Page 2 explains how to call other rooms from a motel phone.
- Use the payphone in the phone room by the pool (it costs a little money) and call Room 3. The woman who answers trades the code for a promise to have a drink with her later — she says 6671.
Calling Room 3 also unlocks the “Call me…” achievement, the most common achievement in the game.
Shotgun tips
- Inventory space: the W-500 takes a long row of slots. Use the Storage Container by the pool payphone if you are full.
- When to use it: ammo is scarce early. Keep the shotgun for the tunnel ambush boss on the way out of the motel area and for enemies that rush you.
- Other shotguns: the Double Barrel Shotgun is behind the Sport Smart Ammo Zone keypad (2367) in Downtown, and a third shotgun comes much later from an NPC in The Quiet Hour Cafe.
