What is the Crimson Bear Motel code in Silver Pines?
The motel gate code is different in every save.
It is Eddie Velvet’s guest number, printed in the Motel Guest Ledger. The ledger is in a locked chest in the motel Check-In Office; the Check-In Key is behind the freezer in Rodney’s General Store (freezer code 2311).
Why no one can give you the number
Silver Pines generates the guest number for each save file. One walkthrough shows 15182, another shows something else — both are right for their own game and wrong for yours. The good news: the route to the ledger is short and also hands you your first melee weapon.
How to get your guest number
- Check-In Office: the motel gate is locked, so go into the office just west of it and read the Check-In Note on the board — the staff went to Rodney’s General Store.
- Garth’s Pharmacy: keep west and take the northern path. In the pharmacy’s Staff Only room, take the Underpass Key from the shelf on the left.
- Underpass: unlock the gate on the motel street, go through, drop off the ledge, head north and climb the wall east. Follow the path to Rodney’s General Store (there is a payphone outside — save here).
- Freezer code: inside the store, the General Store Code note in the right-hand room says the meat locker is “23 + the day of the month”. The calendar shows the 11th, so enter 2311 on the freezer door at the left end of the store.
- Check-In Key: dodge the hanging meat, go through the far door and take the key from the duffle bag on the table. A creature appears — you are unarmed, so run.
- Boxcutter: just outside, pick up the Boxcutter. Use it to slash the hanging fabric on the way back through the Underpass.
- Guest ledger: in the Check-In Office, cut the fabric on the right, open the chest with the Check-In Key and read the Motel Guest Ledger.
- Enter Eddie Velvet’s guest number on the panel at the motel gate.

Room 3 (late game)
The door of Room 3 (the game spells it “Bungalo 3”) stays shut on your first visit. Its key is in the Lighthouse in the Outskirts, which you can only break into once you have the Sledgehammer from Church Hill. The Room 3 keypad then takes 6671 — the same number as the gun locker — and inside is one of the Stars needed for the Rest ending.
